Scare Away the Pain

Tis the season for beautiful fall colors, crisp days, cold nights, football…and spooky, very spooky happenings. If you’re like us, we bet there are a few things you wish could be scared away by the spookiness of Halloween. Maybe it’s those pounds that have magically appeared, a few home-repairs that have come-out-of–the-woodwork, or maybe it is one of those mystery pains in your knee, back, feet, or neck! Let’s face it; there are some things we just want to say Booooooo to and scare away for good!

That’s exactly what master pumpkin craver Ray Villafane (seen on Martha Stewart Living, The Today Show and more) thought too before he discovered WellnessMats.

He spends hours, and hours on his feet, creating utter pumpkin masterpieces in his truly amazing/magical workshop. And his feet, knees, and back were starting to pay the price. And while you may not be a master carver (I admittedly am not) like our friend Ray, this is the start of the season where we spend more time indoors cooking, cleaning, and decorating/celebrating. It is fall – we have THE WORLD SERIES (we are in Detroit and are all cheering on the Tigers), Halloween, football, and so much more. Whether you are taking on some decorating for the season, cooking-up your favorite fall recipes or crafting those Halloween tricks and or even doing some fall cleaning, chances are you are spending more time on your feet. While standing is great for your health, (check out our previous blog post) we also know that prolonged standing, especially on hard surfaces, can really take a toll on your back, knees, and feet.
